"While working as Botanical Foreman at Liverpool University Botanical gardens in the early 1960's I began writing the 80,000 word manual 'Heaths & Heathers' ,which was published by David & Charles in 1973. This illustrated talk covers the history, use, propagation and garden aspects of a wide range of species, hybrids and cultivars of Calluna, Daboecia and Erica, and some plants for association."
